- Content you submit: reviews, discussion posts, book submissions, and messages you send to our shared inbox.
- Usage data: which pages and books you view, collected via Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled.
- Email engagement: opens, clicks, and delivery status for messages we send you, processed by our email providers (SendGrid and Resend).
How we use your information
- To operate the site, display your reviews and posts, and connect you with authors.
- To send the newsletter and club updates you signed up for — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand which books and content readers enjoy so we can improve recommendations.
- To respond to messages you send our shared mailbox and provide support.
Cookies & tracking
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and content performance. Tracking only begins after you accept via the cookie consent banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are loaded. You can change your choice anytime by clearing your browser storage for this site.
Sharing & service providers
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that power the club: Google (Analytics), SendGrid and Resend (email delivery), and our hosting platform (Base44). Each provider processes data under their own privacy commitments and only as needed to deliver their service.
Your rights
- Access & deletion: you can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated content.
- Unsubscribe: every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs immediately.
- Withdraw consent: clear your browser storage to reset the cookie consent choice.
Data retention
We keep account and newsletter data for as long as your account is active or you remain subscribed. Reviews and community posts are retained unless you ask us to remove them. Email delivery logs are kept for a limited period to track bounces and complaints, then deleted.
Children's privacy
The club is intended for adult readers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.
